Meet India Pigg, 7 years old, from Terre Haute Indiana. 2016 was the first year for India to participate in Lemonade Day and she decided to do so with her local Girl Scout Troop. Through Lemonade Day Wabash Valley’s stands on the map program India was chosen to be sponsored by the local Fresh Thyme.  This included mentoring by the store staff as well as $50 toward startup expenses.  India had a great learning experience with the staff from Fresh Thyme. As she toured the store she learned about quality ingredients and savings when buying in bulk. She also got to practice making, and sampling, fresh squeezed lemonade. India returned to Fresh Thyme on June 25, Lemonade Day, with her Girl Scout Troop to raise money for Vigo County Casa. Their stand was a tremendous success in addition to their Fresh Lemonade the store donated treats to sell as well. The troop worked as a team and raised over $500.00 for their charity!  They were able to present a check to Vigo County Casa and were asked to return and work at their upcoming fundraiser!
